Looking for an office in Bangkok

The rapid growth of Bangkok was not always supported by adequate infrastructure systems and the city still struggles with chronic traffic congestion. However, public transport has vastly improved in recent years allowing for easier travel around the city while more systems are either under construction or planned to further improve congestion issues.

    Costs

The prices for serviced office space can range from between THB8,000–THB13,000 per workstation in Bangkok, depending on location and requirements. However, when looking at serviced offices it is always worth keeping in mind that these costs usually cover a whole variety of amenities, which may include internet meeting rooms, reception services etc., and as such can me more cost-effective than traditional leases.

    Office sizes

Sizes of office in Bangkok range from the small to the large and mainly consist of entire suites. Only one or two providers in Bangkok offer coworking space as it is still not very popular in the city.

Instant offer a great variety of office sizes and solutions, and are able to accommodate most enquiries, from one person through to 100 or more depending on the specifics.

    Why choose Bangkok?

It is the most active area for commerce and business in the whole of Thailand while rental prices are considerably cheaper than other Asian countries such as Singapore and China.

As one of the most visited cities in the world it also benefits from a great tourism industry, so for any companies in this sector it is the ideal location.

Five things you probably didn't know about Bangkok:

    1. The actual full name of the city known as Bangkok is Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahinthara Yutthaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udom Ratchaniwet Mahasathan Amonphiman Awatansathit Sakkathattiya Witsanukamprasit
    2. Red Bull energy drink originated in Bangkok in 1976
    3. The world’s largest gold Buddha can be found at Wat Traimit; it is 3m tall and weighs 5.5 tonnes
    4. The air pollution in the city costs the country an estimated USD 2.3 billion each year
    5. Bangkok is sinking at a rate of 2cm to 5cm a year

    A closer look at Bangkok

The city benefits from a lower cost of workforce compared to a number of its Asian neighbours and is one of the many reasons why international companies, along with the largest Thai companies, banks and financial organisations are set up in Bangkok.
The following districts are the most popular areas in which to rent office space:

    Lumphini cluster:

    • The Lumphini cluster and home to Silom, Sathon and Bang Rak districts is Bangkok’s major financial centre and place to do business
    • There are various office buildings in the area, with land properties among the most expensive in the whole of Thailand
    • It is home to major bank headquarters and financial institutions, while the area is connected by the Skytrain (BTS) and underground making it easy to get to other areas of the city
    • One of the most famous buildings in Silom is the State Tower, a 68-storey mixed-use building that has a distinctive 30m tall golden rooftop dome, while Sathon is home to the instantly recognisable and quirky Robot Building

    Chao Phraya cluster:

    • This cluster is adjacent to Bangkok’s CBD
    • It is formed by Bang Kho Laem, Khlong Toei, Yan Nawa, Bang Na and Phra Khanong districts and all sit on the bank of the Chao Phraya river as the name suggests
    • It is a developing area that includes the Stock Exchange of Thailand, luxury shopping centre, The Emporium, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, and the Science Centre for Education

    Chatuchak District:
