1. Tell us a little bit about yourself
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina but I grew up in Italy and speak both Spanish and Italian fluently. I moved to the UK during the summer of 2003 and was involved in the travel and tourism industry for a few years, working for TripAdvisor and as a Group Sales Executive at Hostelworld, and applying my relevant sales experience at Instant was easy.
Learning and specialising in each market is a lengthy process, but really fun! I enjoying interacting with people and speaking my native language, a definite plus is that it makes life easier when dealing with clients whose mother tongue isn’t English. Building relationships is key in my role and I find it easy, as I’m very talkative and a good listener.
2. What is your role at Instant Offices?
I’m an Account Manager and look after the EMEA market. My role entails listening to and informing clients, changing the perception of what an office can be in their eyes, and finding the best possible flexible workplace solutions for them. Building and maintaining a relationship is important in this role as we’re often the first point of contact for new and existing clients.
3. Why do you enjoy working for Instant Offices?
I enjoy working at Instant because I’m free to express myself and I’m trusted to do my work. There’s great flexibility, fantastic opportunities to grow within the company and to develop skills too. Instant makes you feel like part of the team and motivates you every day. I love the working environment and really appreciate the fact that our office is an open plan space where we get to see colleagues, directors and all departments working together for a common goal.
4. What are the most commonly asked questions in your line of work?
What are you looking for? What is your current situation? What locations? How many work stations? Do you need offices anywhere in the world? I help clients answer these questions by listening and proposing something suitable for them. If prices and locations aren’t right, I emphasise the impact that finding a solution will have on their business, and help them navigate all the possibilities to find a perfect solution or a helpful compromise.
4. What do you love about the city you work in?
London is an amazing city. The weather isn’t great but hey, as I tell my clients, it’s about compromise and I can live in one of the most iconic places in the world and still travel to sunny places on holiday!
5. What are the main trends you have seen in the industry since you joined Instant Offices?
People have become more inclined to choose shared office solutions and are more knowledgeable on what flexible space is, and seeing a conventional space as an old school way of dealing with office solutions. The number of enquiries is growing all the time. People have started to realise that the flexibility of offices we can offer is far better than signing a 5-year lease for a traditional space.
