Instant, the global flexible office specialist, has made a senior hire to lead its expansion in Asia Pacific.
Sean Lynch joins from Datacom to become Instant’s first Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region.
Sean Lynch brings nearly 20 years’ experience, predominantly in the outsourced services sector in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. This includes nearly five years as Operations Director, Asia Pacific for global business process outsourcing firm Williams Lea, where he led delivery and implementation of services for clients across the region.
More recently, Sean has held client leadership roles in New Zealand, where he worked for regional technology firms Fronde and Datacom.
Instant has also opened an office in Hong Kong – in addition to its existing office in Sydney – to service the Asia market more directly. Simon Hempsall – with 15 years of experience of working in the flexible office market across the UK and Europe – has relocated from London to Hong Kong and will work for Sean driving sales in the region.
Sean Lynch said: “The flexible office market is undergoing significant growth; it is an exciting time to lead Instant’s expansion in the region and to cater for this increase in client demand. We have a reputation for delivering best in class client service and delivery models that are suited to the Asia-Pacific market.”
In some markets across the region, the flexible office market has grown by 80 per cent in the past four years alone – according to Instant’s proprietary data – and mainland China by more than 50 per cent in the same time period.
“It is the right time to develop our physical presence in the market so that we can further support our clients across the region and develop stronger relationships with operators, partners and landlords,” explained Tim Rodber, CEO of Instant.
Rodber said: “We have noted the increase in client searches for co-working and alternative office solutions, particularly as the TMT sector flourishes in the region.
“In the rest of the world, technology firms have pioneered the use of flexible office space and our work in this field with other leading, international markets leads us to believe that there will be aggressive growth in Asia-Pacific.”
