Spain’s second most populated city behind the capital Madrid, Barcelona is one of Europe's major hubs in terms of the economy, tourism and culture. It is a leading smart city and an important European transport centre serviced by both the Port of Barcelona and Barcelona-El Prat Airport.

The location

The capital of the Catalonia region, Barcelona is found on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula looking out over the Mediterranean Sea. 

With mild winters and warm, dry summers Barcelona benefits from an ideal climate. 

The city is divided into 10 administrative districts; Ciutat Vella, Eixample, Sants-Montjuïc, Les Corts, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, Gràcia, Horta-Guinardó, Nou Barris, Sant Andreu, and Sant Martí.

The prices for serviced office space can range from between €300 per workstation for locations away from the CBD, rising to around €850 per workstation in the CBD depending on exact location and requirements. 

However, when looking at serviced offices it is always worth keeping in mind that these costs usually cover a whole variety of amenities, which may include Internet meeting rooms, reception services etc., and as such can me more cost-effective than traditional leases.

  • Mainly located in Ciutat Vella and Eixample districts along the length of Avienda Diagonal 
  • A lot of commercial activity centred around Paseo de Gracia
  • Ciutat Vella is the ‘Old City’ and is divided by the boulevards of La Rambla and encompasses the area on the seafront containing the Barcelona World Trade Center
Sant Marti
  • Home to Diagonal Mar, one of the most ambitious ongoing urban regeneration schemes in the city started in the late 1990s and home to nearly 20 skyscrapers
  • Also home to @22 Barcelona, known as Districte de la  innovació (innovation district) it is a new business district in the formerly industrial area of Poblenou within Sant Marti
  • Area includes the Ventre Comercial Diagonal Mar, Catalunya’s largest shopping centre
Ensanche Barcelonés
  • Predominantly a residential area of the city
  • Office space can be found in a number of 70’s style buildings
  • Also has a number of modern and prestigious office buildings that are cheaper than the CBD
Zona Franca
  • Logistics and industrial area in the Sants-Montjuïc district
  • Strategic position ideally located between the port and the airport
