This data has allowed Glassdoor to rank the US\u2019 50 most popular cities in which to work. Here\u2019s a look at the top five in ascending order, and some details about what makes them so attractive.<\/p>\n

5. \u00a0Washington DC<\/h2>\n

\nOverall satisfaction rating: 3.3<\/strong><\/p>\n

While federal government jobs and tourism sector jobs are naturally a prominent part of the Washington economy, it is also home to a large number of corporations and three Fortune 500 companies; Pepco, Danaher and Fannie Mae. The Glassdoor report card shows that nearly 7,500 DC employers are currently hiring, with a strong demand for program managers and systems engineers in the business sector, and registered nurses in the healthcare sector.<\/p>\n

4. Salt Lake City<\/h2>\n

Glassdoor revealed that around 2,000 Salt Lake City employers are currently looking for new hires.Over the years, Utah\u2019s capital has seen its economy evolve into a highly service-oriented one. Software engineers, sales associates and customer service reps are currently in great demand.<\/p>\n

Approximately 4,000 Seattle employers of all sizes are currently looking for new hires. The most commonly available positions are sales associates, software engineers and of course, baristas. These findings, coupled with a 3.4 rating for both overall satisfaction and compensation and benefits satisfaction, makes Seattle the United States\u2019 third most popular city among employees.The infamously rainy city and seaport in Washington State is home to some major international brands, including Starbucks and Amazon.<\/p>\n
