The pandemic caused a massive shift in the number of people looking for new opportunities. Here are some of the most popular jobs in the country right now and the skills you need to get them.<\/p>\n

Tech roles are in demand<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

7 out of the top 10 most in-demand skills are technology-based. It’s not surprising that tech skills are at a premium with so many businesses moving online.<\/p>\n

Data science tops the list with a 295% increase in demand already this year. 1 in 10 companies are looking to hire a data science professional, but cybersecurity wins for jobs without much competition, as there are just five skilled candidates per job.<\/p>\n

Salaries for in-demand job skills<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

In 2022, tech jobs are some of the best paid as the skills gap hasn’t caught up to the demand for staff.<\/p>\n

A junior python developer can start on \u00a333,000\/per year, which is \u00a31,712 more than the national average salary in the UK.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a Java Developer is considered the best job in the UK by jobs site Glassdoor with an average salary of around \u00a355,000, rising to \u00a387,000 and a job satisfaction rating of 4.1 out of 5.<\/p>\n

The big bucks are made by people with advanced experience in emerging tech with skills in Artificial Intelligence or Development Architecture. Top salaries for these roles hit over \u00a3100,000 a year.<\/p>\n
