Welcome to January’s Instant corner where we take the opportunity to introduce you to one of our teams. This time we are placing the spot light on our brilliant finance team who are headed up by our very own netballing superstar, Mel Warren (more on that later). They have all been known to dabble in a bit of karaoke and have developed quite a liking for all things sweet. Chocolates and doughnuts are often found hidden on their desks.

They are responsible for our payroll system and that means they are the ones who pay our wages. You’ve got to love that.

For the operators, they are the ones who pay and sort out commission queries. So they are definitely worth making friends with.

Mel is our credit manager. So he is a good person to know. He also does techie stuff on our finance systems. Which he finds quite exciting. That’s what a career in Finance does to you. Amazingly, Mel is quite a star on the Netball pitch. He represented Great Britain at the World Netball Championships in South Africa two years ago. He kept that quiet.

Louise looks after Europe. She is a South African living and working five minutes from the sea in Cape Town, South Africa. She is fiercely patriotic so never get into an argument with her over who is going to win during Rugby or Cricket Seasons!

Sandeep looks after the UK. A regular on the ski slopes of France and a huge Arsenal fan (avoid calling him on Monday mornings if they lost at the weekend). He is also a rather good drummer, having made Grade 7. He has even played at the Royal Albert Hall.

Stacey covers the US and has built up a great knowledge of the market by travelling extensively all over the World. Normally with a back pack full of vintage clothing of which she is a big fan.

Lara joined us in October 2011. She is our latest finance recruit. She works out of our Sydney office and has already proved to be a great asset to the team.
