1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I joined Instant in 2008 as an Account Manager and have since worked in different roles managing the sales team (including training and performance enhancement) and building partner relationships. I came with experience from education and teaching and decided that I wanted to work in a faster paced environment; the property industry was always something that I found interesting. I am based in the London office but work closely with the global teams.
2. What is your role at The Instant Group? What does that entail?
I am Head of Operator Relationships, which means that I am in charge of looking after all our global partnerships with our flexible office providers. I work with them to ensure that we are able to offer all of our clients the best options in the market, and that our teams are working well together to provide the best service possible.
My team also continues to expand our global coverage by researching new locations and opportunities for our clients. I help to advise new flexible office providers on new locations for them to enter into, as well as helping to fill new centres that they open. My role allows me to work closely with the providers through all areas of The Instant Group to ensure that our clients are receiving the best deals possible and are more educated on the flexible office market.
3. Why do you enjoy working for The Instant Group?
There are a lot of inspirational people that work at Instant. The company gives you the ability to learn new skills, step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself and the industry. The company’s culture and values are exciting and dynamic which means that every day is different and you never get bored!
4. What are the most commonly asked questions in your line of work?
Why should I take a serviced office? How can Instant help me?
5. What do you love about the city you work in?
London is vibrant, cultural and very diverse. There is so much to see and learn about London, and even after 30 years of living here there is so much to explore. I find that exciting
6. What are the main trends you have seen in the industry since you joined The Instant Group?
The industry has seen the demand for flexible workspaces increase. More than ever before businesses are understanding the advantages of employing flexibility as a strategy. I joined the industry in the height of the recession, yet Instant was not suffering like other companies; it offered businesses solutions to keep moving through tough times. Today people are hungry for change and the workplace has become an integral part to every business and their growth opportunities.
